The 2017 assassination of Kim Jong Nam, the older half-brother of North Korea’s chief Kim Jong Un, was recorded by safety cameras. Two girls got here up behind him one by one and rubbed chemical compounds over his face, which mixed to make the lethal nerve agent VX.

“He appeared to be quick on cash in his remaining years, so he had been supplying details about North Korea to the CIA,” stated Anna Fifield, the Beijing bureau chief for The Washington Publish.

Fifield has written a brand new e book about Kim Jong Un. In it, she means that Kim Jong Nam, who spent most of his life dwelling in exile outdoors North Korea, may even have been coming back from a gathering along with his CIA handler when he was killed.  

“On the day he was killed, he was discovered with $120,000 in money in his little backpack and so which will have been as a cost for his companies,” she stated.

CBS Information couldn’t independently affirm Fifield’s reporting and the CIA has no remark. So the weird life and demise of Kim Jong Nam is prone to stay one of many many mysteries surrounding North Korea.
