GREENWOOD, Ind. – Prosecutors say a suburban Indianapolis couple who vacated their dwelling throughout divorce proceedings left their canine behind to starve to loss of life.
The emaciated canine, named Chuck, was discovered useless in January within the couple’s Johnson County trailer dwelling. A necropsy decided he starved to loss of life.
The Indianapolis Star experiences 31-year-old Michael S. Setser of Greenwood faces a misdemeanor cost of abandonment or neglect of a vertebrate animal. Twenty-eight-year-old Amanda Setser of Franklin faces a misdemeanor animal cruelty cost.
Prosecutors say the pair “didn’t take Chuck with them or present him with meals and water” once they moved out of their dwelling in January. Each have been arrested and launched from the jail after posting bond.
On-line courtroom paperwork do not record attorneys who might converse on the estranged couple’s behalf.
