Two members of the Mara-Salvatrucha – or MS-13 – gang had been snatched attempting to re-enter the US illegally in Arizona.

U.S. Customs and Border Safety brokers patrolling a distant canyon space west of Nogales encountered 30-year-old Joel Santos-Funes after he entered the U.S. from Mexico early Monday morning.

Brokers found that Santos-Funes – a Honduran nationwide – was a member of MS-13 gang who had been beforehand deported after taking his fingerprints.

The following day, on Tuesday, brokers in Casa Grande apprehended 39-year-old Deyly Turcios-Giron, simply west of Tucson. Turcios-Giron can be from Honduras.

CBP mentioned each males have in depth immigration violation histories, together with a 2013 felony conviction for drug smuggling in opposition to Turcios-Giron.

Officers mentioned the 2 males will stay in federal custody pending prosecution for felony immigration violations.
