The creator of the romance novel congratulated the Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 28, on Wednesday shortly after the couple revealed they secretly bought married over the weekend. Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2008 whereas filming the film adaptation of the novel.

“This makes me so completely happy. Congratulations @MileyCyrus and @LiamHemsworth. #TheLastSong,” Sparks tweeted in response to Cyrus’ photograph from her marriage ceremony day with the caption, “10 years later……”

Cyrus responded to the creator’s tweet with three coronary heart emojis.

The couple made their relationship public shortly after the 2010 movie was launched.
