An Amazon worker in Florida is accused of stealing almost $4,000 in merchandise and reward playing cards and delivery clients empty containers.

Authorities stated Elvis Edgardo Soto, whose job was to pack objects for delivery, took the stolen items from the packaging line in a Lake Nona achievement heart. A few of the stolen merchandise included a number of iPhone instances, an Apple Watch band, eyebrow pomade and a toy pony.

He was arrested Tuesday and faces felony third-degree grand theft, the Orlando Sentinel reported. He has been launched on $500 bond.

A public relations supervisor for the retail large confirmed Wednesday that Soto, 20, “now not works for Amazon.”

A loss prevention officer found the thefts after working a report for reward playing cards that had been redeemed inside six hours of being issued by the ability, in response to the paper.

Two suspicious redemptions from Nov. 6 had been linked to Soto – one for $2,000 and the opposite for $250, an arrest report stated. Three extra had been later recognized for a complete of $900.

Soto admitted to the thefts and defined that he would pocket the objects he needed and ship out empty containers to clients, the report stated.
